Borough Offers Free Two-Hour Parking

As Ellwood City prepares for the holiday season, the Borough Council announced free, two-hour holiday parking beginning November 24th and extending to December 31st.

The free parking will be offered at metered spaces along Lawrence Avenue, Bellow Avenue, and Crescent Avenues as well as Fifth Street, Sixth Street, and Seventh Street.

The Beaver Avenue parking lot will also be included in the holiday parking and receive two hours of free parking for local shoppers.

Metered parking spaces will have plastic baggies over the parking meters to mark the free parking space. Additionally, parking enforcement rules allow free parking after 5 p.m. within the borough.

However, those who exceed the two hour holiday parking time limit are still subject to a $5.00 parking fine.

  1. The EC Art Club or Lincoln Art Club should consider painting the meters downtown to create a funky look like they did in Wheeling, WV.
