Yesterday, House Bill 2030, which modifies the Ellwood City borough electric department, passed in a 106-89 vote. The bill, sponsored by Rep. Aaron Bernstine, R-10, New Beaver, will now pass to the state senate. Martin C. Zajac, 90, of Allen Court, Wampum passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at his residence. Born August 14, 1926 in Gallitzin, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph and Bertha Olshefka Zajac. He was married for 62 years to Irene Rafacz Zajac who survives. Marty retired in 1986 from Babcox and Wilcox. He was a member for over 50 years of St. Monica Church in Wampum, where he was a member of the Holy Name Society.
