Mrs. Betty L. Olinger, 77, of Ellwood City passed away on Thursday, November 3, 2016 in the UPMC Passavant Hospital.
Mrs. Olinger was born on January 28, 1939 in Ellwood City to the late Domenico and Rena Lanam Greco. Betty had worked at the Blaire Nursing Home, and at the Oasis restaurant as a waitress. She is a member of the First United Methodist Church. Betty enjoyed karaoke, country music, and baking especially cakes.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Kim Cody and Khristy Gaus of Ellwood City, her sons, Tony (Beth) Gaus of Beaver, and Brian Olinger of Chippewa Twp., her step-sons, Randy, Mark (Sandra), and Jeff (Linda) Olinger, her grandchildren, Andrea and Dannielle Cody, Joshua, Elijah, and Zoe-Enna Simmons, Anthony Gaus II, Isabella Gaus, Carter Gaus, Logan and Dominica Eickmeyer, and Olivia Gaus, her sister, Dorothy Hudson of Ellwood City, her special nephew, Ronald Greco of Ellwood City, and her beloved dog Ginny.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Clarence E. Olinger whom she married on December 19, 1981 and passed away on September 8, 2000, her grandsons, Christopher Eickmeyer and Kevin J. Simmons, her sisters, Julia Mulig, Rose Greco, Mary Houk, and Eleanor Lively, and her brothers, Louis, Anthony, and Joseph Greco.
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services. Services for Betty will be held on Saturday at 1:00 pm in the funeral home with Rev. Angelique Bradford officiating. Interment will be at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
