Corona D’Italia Lodge’s October Meeting

Corona D’Italia Lodge #807 officers and members celebrated Columbus Day with their annual dinner on Wednesday, October 5 at 5p.m. at the Wolverine Restaurant. Reservations were conducted by Treasurer, Louise Vitullo aided by her member daughters, Patty Kuhn and Maura Greco. Door prize tickets were distributed to all arrivals. Sentinel, Lois DiFrischia, directed seating to the tables and Orator, Valerie Valentino, presented each person with her designed Halloween Trick or Treat bag of gift items.

Mistress of Ceremony, Mary Quinanilla, voiced the welcome and remarked on Columbus and his journey that was being celebrated. Recognizing, President Clemmy Sirimarco, her photographing continues as Sirimarco spoke further on Columbus and his great deeds that brought is together. Trustee, Patty Regna, led a moment of silence in observance of the member of all deceased members, family members, and all military personnel and their families. She voiced the invocation and the sit-down traditional dinner was served buy the staff.

Enjoying dessert of Italian pastries, a short business session was conducted by Sirimarco. She recognized all the officers and expressed her appreciation for their work as the committee for this event, and Vice-President, Ann Butchelli for her ongoing project for the 100th lodge anniversary in 2017. Quintanilla displayed the album she continues to compile with pictures of every meeting. Commenting on the recent earthquake in central Italy, it was decided to participate in the Pennsylvania Grand Lodge disaster fund raising with proceeds from monthly fund raising. Sirimarco distributed October rickets and anyone wishing to participate may contact her. The next business meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 9 at 5p.m. at the Wolverine Restaurant. Plans for a Christmas Party will be made.
