Larry J. Price, 75, of Franklin Township passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Brighton Township.
Born in Ellwood City on May 28, 1941, Larry was the son of Lloyd and Dora Belle Palm Kettler. He married the former Charlotte Blinn on November 16, 1963. Larry was a 1959 graduate of Lincoln High School and a member of Lillyville Church of God. He was formerly employed at the Gulf Service Plaza on the Pennsylvania Turnpike and then he retired from Calgon (now NALCO) in 2003. Larry enjoyed hunting, fishing and making fishing lures. He loved spending time with his family and spoiling his grandchildren.
Larry is survived by his wife, Charlotte Price, at home, two sons and daughters-in-law; Larry Joe “Bubba” and Dixie Price, Jr. of Chippewa Twp., Douglas Allen and Karen Price of Ellwood City, two grandsons; Cody Allen Price and Shane Douglas Price, 2 step-grandchildren; Monica Hagy and Hunter Hagy and a brother, Edwin Price of Ellport.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by a daughter, Beth Lorrane Price at birth, and a brother, David “Tony” Price.
Friends will be received on Sunday, October 23rd from 12:00 PM until 3:00 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday at the funeral home at 3:00 PM with Pastor Dennis Arndt of Lillyville Church of God.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Larry’s name to Good Samaritan Hospice, 134 Marwood Rd., Cabot, PA 16023 or to the donor’s favorite charity.
