Mr. David G. “Mitch” Mitchell, 65, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, September 27, 2016 in the Allegheny General Hospital with his family at his bedside.
Dave was born on December 7, 1950 in Ellwood City to the late Edward M. and Louise E. Venezie Mitchell. He is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1969, and graduated from Youngstown State University in 1973 with a degree in Business Administration. Dave had worked at Romar Textile as an assistant plant manager, Morrow Motors in Beaver Falls where he was awarded Salesman of the Year, Morrow Motors in Ellwood City as manager, and the Kenny Ross dealership as a salesman for several years. Dave later was the owner of EBay Auctions, USA Bocce, and Wave Your Image. He is a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish. He also is a member of the Ellwood City Lions Club and the Ellwood City Wolves Club. Dave enjoyed watching the Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates, and playing Bocce, fishing, and golfing.
Dave is survived by his sisters, Sharlene (George) Veres of Ellwood City and Debby (Matthew) Wimmel of Beaver Falls, his brother, Jerry (Fran) Mitchell of New Wilmington, his nephews, Michael (Stephanie) Veres of Brunswick, OH and Jared (Rita) Mitchell of New Wilmington, and his great-nieces, Megan and Maria Mitchell of New Wilmington, and Sofia Veres of Brunswick, OH.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 4-8 pm in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at 10:00 am in the Holy Redeemer Church. Inurnment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Those attending the funeral mass are asked to meet at the funeral home on Saturday by 9:20 am.
