Ellwood City Cross Country Teams Each Remain Undefeated With Dual Meet Victories

Ellwood City Cross Country teams both improved to 8-0 on the season with section wins against the Laurel Spartans and Rochester Rams.

Both Squads had specific goals for the day and locked-in to make it happen with a number of PR’s and solid performances.

The Varsity Girls defeated Laurel in a key matchup by a score of 21-34 and Rochester 15-45. The girls were led by Junior Peyton Cooper who secured her second victory of the season and Sophomore Sophia D’Addio who was close behind. The girls all came together big for this win and it was certainly one to celebrate.

The Varsity Boys defeated the home team by a score of 18-39 and the Rams 17-38. Sophomore Gio Venezie earned his 4th victory of the season. The Wolverine boys placed their top 5 runners in the top 7 finishers.
