What is your favorite part of it? My favorite part of playing volleyball is that feeling you get when your team just won a long rally and comes together to celebrate like crazy
Who do you feel is your biggest rivalry this upcoming season? Our biggest rivalry this year is Avonworth, last season we played them in the first round of playoffs and lost to them in 5 sets, 13-15.
What has been your favorite memory been over the years? My favorite memory is during my sophomore year when we pulled off a huge upset against Shenango and the whole crowd was on their feet. I remember the whole team running into a dogpile in the middle of the court and watching coach Meg leap out of her chair when we won.
What is one thing that you have learned through your participation in sports that will carry with you through your life? I have learned how to be dependable and reliable, always trying my hardest to be a stable role model my team can lean on when they need help. I have also learned how to have my own voice. On the court, you need to be loud, so your teammates know you are present and ready to help. off the court, you need to have a voice to advocate for yourself and share your thoughts with your team. Most importantly, volleyball has taught me how to recognize the people who are truly trying to help me and the people who want to see me fail. you need to hold onto the people who genuinely want to see you succeed and listen to their advice. At the same time, you have to learn how to brush off the negative things said about you from your haters. Sports have taught me that not everyone will believe in you, but the opinions of the people who support you are the ones that matter the most.
