Bill Flanagan of WPXI “Television’s Our Region’s Business” recently visited Ellwood City as part of a segment highlighting the exciting growth and revitalization happening throughout Lawrence County.
The feature included discussions about the future redevelopment of the vacant Shenango China Factory, efforts to strengthen local communities, and the momentum building in downtown Ellwood City.
“We were proud that All Aboard Ellwood was included among the organizations helping shape the community’s future through the reconstruction of the historic railroad station and the
development of our industrial museum,” says Julie D’Amico of All Aboard Ellwood.
Ellwood City Area Chamber of Commerce Director Ryan McCandless also highlighted the positive trend of younger people moving into the area and starting new businesses.
During Bill’s visit, members of All Aboard Ellwood had the opportunity to share the story of the project, mission to preserve local industrial and railroad history, and the incredible momentum that has brought to this point.
“We are currently preparing the property for the building foundation of our future museum. A strong foundation is essential for any successful building project, and after six years of dedication, fundraising, and community support, this next phase means so much to all of us,” adds D’Amico.
