Lucas Bleakney and Allie Barzen each shined in their respective events at the MAC Track & Field Championships held Wednesday at Shenango High School.
Bleakney placed 2nd overall in the 800m for Ellwood City while Barzen finished 3rd place in the 100m for Riverside.
Nicklas Young (9th boys 1600m), Gio Venezie (9th boys 3200m), and Peyton Cooper (7th girls 3200m) earned top 10 marks on the track for the Wolverines.
Drake Davis finished 6th overall in the boys shot put with a 43-09.50 effort.
The Ellwood City boys relay team placed 7th in the 4x400m relay.
Leon Kennedy-Mauk (7th boys pole vault) and June Sullivan (8th girls pole vault), and Silas Reichart (9th boys triple jump) earned top 10 marks in field events for Riverside.
The Panthers girls relay team place 8th in both the 4x100m and 4x800m relays.
Quaker Valley earned the top mark (121 points) among the 23 boys team competing and top mark (107.33) among the 18 girls teams competing on Wednesday.
The 2026 WPIAL Boys’ & Girls’ Track & Field Championships will begin with the team semifinals on Tuesday April 28, followed by the team championships on Tuesday, May 5. The individual championships are scheduled for Wednesday, May 13.
