Evelyn E. Chinchi, 82, of Ellwood City passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2016 in Greensburg, Pa.
Evelyn was born on June 28, 1933 in Ellwood City to the late John G. and Carmel Conti Rocco. She is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1951, and the Holy Redeemer Parish. Eveleyn had worked at the Aetna Standard Engineering Co. for several years as a secretary.
She enjoyed reading, traveling, knitting, bowling, golfing, and most of all playing with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Steven B. Chinchi whom she married on June 22, 1963, her daughters, Cindy (David) Iwig of Greensburg, and Janice (Warren) Cresswell of Camarillo, CA, her son David (Joelle) Chinchi of Ventura, CA, and her grandchildren, Jordan Rose Chinchi, Drew Rian Chinchi, Jaymes Ruby Chinchi, Maxine Rain Chinchi, Zachary Cresswell, Parker James Cresswell, Logan Michael Cresswell, Gavin Anthony Cresswell, Sawyer Matthew Cresswell, Grace Elizabeth Iwig, Audrey Chryssa Iwig, Eva Celeste Iwig, and Cecelia Michele Iwig.
She is also survived by her sister, Mary Lou Mercuri of Ellwood City, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her son, Christopher S. Chinchi, her sisters, Louise Nardone, and Barbara Teolis, her brother, Patsy Rocco in infancy, and her brothers-in-law, Fred Teolis and Vince Mercuri.
Visitation will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday at 10 a.m. in the Holy Redeemer Church with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Those attending the funeral mass are asked to meet at the funeral home on Monday by 9:20 a.m.
