Jordan Keller hit two home runs and drove in three as part of an offensive showcase as Ellwood City defeated Beaver 12-2 on Thursday at Sanders Field.
Keller homered in the third and fifth innings.
The Wolverines got on the board in the bottom of the first inning after Keller tripled to center field, and Aaron Lake doubled down the left field line, each scoring one run.
Ellwood City scored six runs on four hits in the bottom of the second inning. Keller drew a walk, scoring one run, Nate Kennedy doubled, scoring three runs, Maykel Cuevas singled, scoring one run, and Geordon Bokor singled, scoring one run.
The Wolverines scored one run in the bottom of the third on a solo home run to center field by Keller.
Two more Ellwood City Wolverines runs crossed the plate in the fourth inning to extend the lead to 11-1. Cameron Mills hit a solo home run to center field, and an error scored one run.

Nate Kennedy earned the win for Ellwood City. The starting pitcher allowed four hits and two runs (zero earned) over four and two-thirds innings, striking out seven and walking three. Cooper Hill took the loss for Beaver. The hurler went one and two-thirds innings, surrendering five runs on five hits, striking out three and walking three. Matt Kelly appeared in relief for Ellwood City.
The Wolverines accumulated 11 hits in the game. Keller (3-3, BB, two runs) and Kennedy (2-2, one run, one SB, 3 RBIs) each posted perfect performances at the plate.
Junior Marino, Maddox Tanner, Jude Lovra, and Mikey Corob each collected one hit for Beaver.
Next up for Ellwood City (4-0 Overall) is a game against rival Riverside on Monday at 4:00 p.m. The Panthers were knocked off by West Allegheny 9-8 on Thursday to fall to 1-3 on the young season.
