The Ellwood City Wolves Club Den 2 had their monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 10, at Nico’s Restaurant in Ellwood City.
Members dined on penne and meatballs, baked chicken, sausage, peppers and onions with seasoned Yukon potatoes.
President Mike DeOtto welcomed members and provided a revised schedule of meetings for the balance of March, April and May. The next meeting is a the Connequenessing Country Club on March 25 and includes a dinner and presentations to local groups receiving Wolves Club donations. The April 14 meeting will be again at Nico’s. The April 22 meeting will be at the Wolves Club shelter for clean up.
Golf Bash Chairman Chris Cioffi reported on the February Golf Bash held by the Club at the Sons of Italy. The event provided $22,210 for scholarships. Chairman Cioffi thanked all those members who helped in any way.
Scholarship Chairman John DiBuono reported on the Scholarship Program. There were 39 applications received for Wolves scholarships. That was up from 12 in 2025. Member Alex created a QR code that made applications more accessible to students this year. The Club is also instituting 2 new scholarships: two $2000 scholarships to attend trade or technical schools. The Scholarship Awards dinner is on May 27 at 6PM at the Connequenessing Country Club. Chairman DiBuono thanked members on the committee for their participation.
Festival Chairman Bob Petti reported that the Ellwood City Arts and Crafts Festival is set for July 3, 4 and 5.
