The month of December ushered in a time to celebrate the holiday of Christmas. For some people, the best gift wasn’t wrapped under the tree, it was a new home.

According to Redfin.com, the median sale price of a home in Lawrence County was $167,000 last month, up 28.8% since last year. The median sale price per square foot in Lawrence County is $90, down 15.5% since last year at this time.

More specifically, Ellwood City home prices are up 22.0% compared to last year, selling for a median price of $150,000 according to Redfin.com. On average, homes in Ellwood City sell after 76 days on the market compared to 64 days last year.
