Vincenzina (DeCaria) Minteer, 81

Mrs. Vincenzina “Vinnie” Flag (DeCaria) Minteer, 81, of Ellport passed away on Tuesday, December 9th, 2025 at her daughters residence in Texas.

Mrs. Minteer was born in Ellwood City on January 20th, 1944 to the late Vincent and Victoria (Garisto) DeCaria. She had graduated from Lincoln High School and is a member of the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Over the years, Vinnie had worked in the medical field in several different doctor’s offices and at the former Ellwood City Hospital. Vinnie was a regular in the gym, Air Fitness, providing inspiration to the younger girls. She could be seen doing multiple classes per day! She was a pillar in the community and will be missed by many. She never met a person who wasn’t her best friend.

Vinnie is survived by her daughters, Marci and John Jewett, Mindi and Kurt Radaz, and Maria Carlson, grandchildren, Savanna Jewett, Mathew and Mia Jewett who are expecting their first child next month (Eden), Kalob Jewett, Kolten Radaz, Kayler Radaz, Keegan Radaz, Kaiden Carlson, and Hadley Carlson, brothers, Ralph DeCaria and Angelo DeCaria, and her nieces and nephews, Dean Novalesi, Geraldine Novalesi, Rachel Novalesi, Nancy Minteer, John Minteer Jr., Mark Minteer, Linda Chowdhary, and Susan Shaffeer.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband, Dewey Minteer whom she married on September 16th, 1967 and passed away on December 20th, 1998, sisters, Theresa Novalesi and her husband Dean Novalesi, and Mary Graves, and brothers, Vito DeCaria and Anthony DeCaria.

Family and friends will be received on Saturday, December 27th, 2025 at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. from 1:00 pm until the time of the Blessing Service at 2:00 pm with Deacon Donald Pepe officiating. Inurnment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
