Mrs. Rozanne Carosi, 80, of Ellwood City passed away on Wednesday, July 2nd, 2025 at Newhaven Court at Clearview Assisted Living Facility in Butler.
Mrs. Carosi was born in Butler, PA on August 27th, 1944 to the late John and Elizabeth (Kononchuk) Onufer. She graduated from Butler High School with the class of 1962 and later from beauty school where she earned her certification in cosmetology. She had worked as a beautician for a short period of time, and then later for the Department of Veterans Affairs in Boyers, PA and later at the Butler Veterans Administration Medical Center for 38 years retiring in 2009. Rozanne is a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church where she was a greeter, and the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers. For many years, she volunteered at the former annual Holy Redeemer Church Bazaar, specializing in pepperoni puffs, the Holy Redeemer Church booth at the Ellwood City Arts, Crafts, and Food Festival, and the Relay For Life. She enjoyed bowling in her younger years, listening to Country Music, and most of all spending time with her family.
She is survived by her sons and their spouses, Thomas and Missy Carosi, Timothy and Anna Carosi both of Ellwood City, Dan and Teresa Carosi, and Joseph and Melanie Carosi both of Beaver Falls, seventeen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Umberto “Birdy” Carosi, Jr. whom she married on July 4th, 1981 and passed away on October 21st, 2022, and her brother John Thomas Onufer in infancy.
A mass in her honor will be held at a later date. Inurnment will be at the Locust Grove Cemetery. The final arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..
