Michael L. Lance, 57

Michael L. Lance, 57, of Ellwood City, passed away on Friday, May 30th,2025, at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital, Pittsburgh with his family by his side.

Born May 29th, 1968, he is the son of Raymond and Margaret (Peggy) Lance of Ellwood City. After graduating from Lincoln High School with the class of 1986, he continued his education at the University of Pittsburgh earning a degree in Electrical Engineering in 1990, followed by 25 years as Chief Deputy Engineer of the Media Bureau for the FCC in Washington D.C. Michael was an avid outdoorsman enjoying hunting, fishing, boating, the Steelers and especially his dog, Knuckles.

In addition to his parents, survivors include brothers Bruce Lance, Gregory Lance (Terri Hawkins), and sisters Loretta Lance (John Lund), and Kristina Lance, also two nephews Jacob Wilson and Gabriel Lance, one niece Kelsey Lance, one great niece Mason Lance.

He was preceded in death by his niece Amber Wilson.

Michael will be greatly missed by all who loved him.

Per Michael’s request, there will be no public service. A private celebration of Michael’s life will be celebrated at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hemophilia Foundation or the American Cancer Society.
