Mr. Robert G. Craven, 88, of Perry Township passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 4th, 2025.
Mr. Craven was born in Ellwood City on March 15th, 1937 to the late Chester and Dorothy (Bruehl) Craven. He is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1955. On October 11th, 1955 Robert enlisted with the United States Army and served until his honorable discharge on October 10th, 1957 with the rank of SP-3. Following his service with the Army Robert worked at the Babcock & Wilcox Steel Mill in Beaver Falls in the Hot Mill Department. An outdoorsman, Robert enjoyed golfing, fishing, yardwork, and in his younger years riding horses.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Boy) Craven whom he married on August 15th, 1958, his grandchildren, Tarah (Jason) Hardie, Natasha (Lane) Brewster, Robert (Megan) Craven, Steven (Kristen) Hampton, and Bradley (Sam) Hampton, and his eleven great-grandchildren.
Robert was preceded in death by his parents, sons, Robert Craven and Randall “Mopey” Craven, daughters, Cynthia Craven and Cheryl “Sherri” Hampton, sisters, Delores Owen and Beverly Cole, and his brother, Bill Craven.
Family and friends will be received on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until the time of the service at 6:00 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Chuck Hall officiating. Full military honors will be rendered by the Veterans Honor Guard.
