Arlene Frances Cogliano, 72

Miss Arlene Frances Cogliano, 72, Of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 under the loving care of her nephew and neice.

Arlene was born on November 11th, 1952 in Ellwood City to the late Frank and Matilda (Calabrese) Cogliano.

Arlene was a lifelong member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church and attended the former BVM Catholic School. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Ellwood City with the class of 1971. She had worked at Leeds & Northrop for eleven years and Giant Eagle for five years in the bakery department. In 1987 she attended CCBC and received certification Phlebotomy and worked at the Ellwood City Hospital Laboratory as a Phlebotomist for 28 years, retiring in 2017.

She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially making pizzells at Christmas time, bird watching in her back yard, traveling to casinos, and spending time with family and friends.

She is survived by her nephews, Michael and his wife Carol Cogliano Sr. and their children Patrick, Abigail and Michael Jr., Vincent Cogliano, and Gerald and his wife Amber Cogliano and their children Audrey and Samuel. Arlene is also survived by her sister-in-law Angie Cogliano, and her sister friend Marge Sargo.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her brothers, Salvatore “Sal” Cogliano in 2013 and Nicholas “Nick” Cogliano in 2015, and her fur baby Tessa in 2011.

Family and friends will be received on Friday, April 25th, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, April 26th, at Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church at 1:00 P..M. . Entombment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Resurrection Mausoleum.

    Sweet Arlene. She loved unconditionally, was kind to all. She will be missed by many, especially me!
