Ralph L. Lutz, 75

Mr. Ralph L. Lutz, 75, of Park Gate passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 10th, 2024 surrounded by his girls at the Butler Memorial Hospital.

Mr. Lutz was born on January 27th, 1949 in Ellwood City to the late Norman L. and Margaret L. (Coast) Lutz. He is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1966 and Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. On June 14th, 1967 Ralph enlisted with the United States Army and served until his honorable discharge on June 11th, 1971 with the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Good Conduct Medal, and Sharpshooter Badge Rifle M14. After serving with the Army, Ralph worked at the Babcock & Wilcox Steel Mill in Koppel, Luria Brothers in Koppel for 17 years as a supervisor, Koppel Steel, and retired from VEKA Inc. in Fombell. He is also a member of the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and the Hungarian Club. An avid outdoorsman Ralph loved cutting grass, hunting, fishing, bird watching, and all forms of nature. His greatest joy was spending time and playing games with his grandchildren.

Ralph is survived by his wife Kathleen (Campbell) Lutz whom he married on May 16th, 1970, daughters and sons-in-law Lisa and Joe Fotia, Jill and John Folino both of Ellwood City, and Jessica and Landon Costa of Fombell, grandchildren Ethan, Alex, and Gianna Fotia, and Tessa and Dominic Folino, brother Bernard Lutz of Portersville, and his brothers-in-law Chip (Lynn) Campbell and Darin Hoak.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Norman Lutz, father and mother-in-law Bud and Mary Campbell, and sisters-in-law Patty Lutz, Lynn Raye Campbell, and Stacey Hoak.

Family and friends will be received at the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church on Saturday, July 13th, 2024 from 11:00am until the time of the mass of Christian burial at 11:30 am with Father Jim Wehner officiating. Inurnment will be at the Grandview Cemetery in Beaver Falls. Members of the Veterans Honor Guard are asked to meet at the church on Saturday by 12:15 pm to conduct full military honors. The funeral arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..
