David Gregg Metheny, age 78, of Beaver Falls, passed away July 5, 2024. Gregg was born April 10, 1946 to the late David B. and Edith (Baker) Metheny.
A lifelong resident of Beaver County, he was a 1964 graduate of Beaver Falls High School and attended Western State College, Gunnison, CO on a basketball scholarship. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Air Force (1966-1970) and served in Thailand during the Vietnam Conflict. His career included years at the West Mayfield Foundry and the American Red Cross, and his hobbies included golfing, knife making, fishing, and hunting.
In addition to his parents, Gregg was preceded in death by his wife Patricia (Braid) Metheny and stepson Justin Russell. He will be missed by his three brothers Jeff, Carey, and Quinn, and their families, and his two stepsons David and Brian Russell, and their families and many other friends and extended family.
There will be no visitation or service. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.
Friends may, if they wish, make memorial contributions in Gregg’s name to Table of Grace Ministry, 406 Country Club Dr., Ellwood City, PA 16117.
