Larry E. Jacobs, 77

Mr. Larry E. Jacobs, 77, of Ellwood City passed away on Saturday, May 11th, 2024 at the Butler Memorial Hospital. Larry was born in New Martinsville, Maryland on July 14th, 1946 to the late Joseph and Yetta Jane (Baker) Jacobs. He is a member of the Riverside High School class of 1967 and the Lillyville Church of God. Following his high school graduation Larry enlisted with the United States Army on June 15th, 1967 and served with the 31st Engineering Company until his Honorable Discharge on April 5th, 1969 with the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, and Vietnam Campaign Medal. After his service with the Army Larry worked at the Ellwood City Iron & Wire, Aetna Standard Engineering Co., Her-Voss, and most r3ecently at Med Art as a machine operator. He enjoyed doing yardwork and mostly being with his dog “Goldie”

He is survived by his wife Barbara (Polk) Jacobs whom he married on February 28th, 1970, daughters Karen Jacobs of Ellwood City and Tracy and her husband Kevin Hindman of Butler County, sons Tony and his wife Malinda Jacobs of North Carolina and Larry and his wife Tracy Jacobs, Jr. of Ellwood City, grandchildren Brandy, Alex, Jonathan, Andrew, Maranda, Ivan, Jack, and Rexx, great-grandchildren Charlotte, Isabella, Felina, and Kori, sisters Shelby Hall and Sonja (Mark) Boots, and his brothers Dave (Joyce) Jacobs, Mark (Anita) Jacobs all of Ellwood City, and Jay (Terri) Jacobs.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, sister Edna Scheidemantle, brothers Joseph “Keith”, Paul, Wayne, Dennis, and Jeffrey Jacobs, sister-in-law Doccia Jacobs, and his brother-in-law Gary Hall.

Per Larry’s wishes there will not be a public service. The final arrangements are entrusted to the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc..
