3 Rivers Comicon puts the comics back in Comicon!
The 3 Rivers Comicon will take place June 1-2, 2024 at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center, putting the focus back on comics, creators and fans. This family-friendly event will feature contests, vendors, comic books, toys, games, and cosplay.
3 Rivers Comicon was founded to celebrate comics, graphic novels and their creators. The event will host over 150 guests including writers, artists, creators, and vendors. The massive guest list includes Mike Mckone (X-Force, X-Men), Ron Frenz (Amazing Spider-man, Thor), Steve Geiger (Punisher: War Journal, Incredible Hulk), Franco (Billy Batson and the magic of Shazam!, Tiny Titans), Josh Blaylock (Mercy Sparx, GI Joe), Maria Wolf (Transformers, Thundercats), Mark
Morales (Spider-man/Deadpool, Star Wars: High Republic) , Wayne Faucher (Impulse, Star Wars: Mandalorian), and many more.
“We wanted to create an event focused on the heart of comicon—the comics and creators,” said Jon Engel, Show Promoter. “3 Rivers Comicon will be a place for true comic fans to meet their favorite artists, discover new comics, and connect with other fans.”
The exhibit floor will feature over 100 vendors selling comic books, collectibles, toys, games, and more. Fans can get comics signed, discover new titles, and find rare, vintage issues. Cosplayers are encouraged to show off their creativity in the daily cosplay contests.
Cosplay guests and groups include: Capt. Cash, Nikki Lee Cosplay, Commander Snips, Ms. Margaret Jean, Natalie Vaia, USS Solstice (Star Trek), Pittsburgh Justice League, Cosplay for a Cause, Steel City Ghostbusters, and more!
3 Rivers Comicon will have activities for all ages including photo ops and interactive experiences like panels. The full schedule will be announced in early 2024.
Tickets start at just $25 for adults for a weekend pass and kids 8 and under get in free with a paid adult ticket. 3 Rivers Comicon is proud to partner with Extra Life, which partners with the Pittsburgh Children’s Network, and a portion of the art auction sales will be donated to support their important work.
