John M. Hribar III, 67, of Aliquippa, passed away on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at Beaver Valley Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.
Born in Aliquippa on July 9, 1956, John was the son of the late John and Diane Radovich Hribar II. He retired as a bricklayer and was a member of Local 833 in New Brighton. John graduated from Aliquippa High School. Always up for an adventure from a young age, John decided to hitchhike all the way across the United States. He did, in fact, make it all the way to California. John was a member of the Ukrainian National Association Branch 120 in Aliquippa. He was passionate about his books, music festivals, camping, metal detecting and he also inherited a well known stubbornness which has been passed down from generation to generation. Most of all, he was proud of his three sons, and always let them know it.
John is survived by his three sons, Christopher “C.J.” Hribar and his fiancée, Ashley Hall of Stephenville, TX, James Hribar of Erie, PA and Jesse and Samatha Hribar of Baden, two sisters, Vicki (Kevin) Futato of West Pittsburg and Janice Rossi of Florida, two brothers, Mark (Lydia) Hribar of Beaver Falls and Dan Hribar of Aliquippa, and four grandchildren, Kolby, Kiah, Carter and Riley.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 18th at 6:30 PM at Wildwood Chapel, 2850 Jack Street, Aliquippa with Pastor Rich Liptak.
Donations can be made directly to John’s sons or in John’s name to the BF Jones Memorial Library, 663 Franklin Avenue, Aliquippa, PA 15001.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.
