David Andrew Hulick, 38

David Andrew Hulick, 38, went home to be with our Lord on Friday, February 23, 2024 in Carthage, North Carolina.

Born February 19, 1986 in Ellwood City, David is the son of David Hulick and Cathy McKinney Hulick.  After graduating Lincoln High School in 2004, David attended the Tulsa Welding School in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  In 2006, he joined the United States Air Force where he served honorably until 2019.  During his military career, David received the Air Force Achievement Medal, Meritorious Unit Award, AF Outstanding Unit Award, AF Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and Korean Defense Medal.

David’s life revolved around his beautiful children and fiancé. They were the light of his life. When he wasn’t spending all of his time with his family he enjoyed hunting, fishing, skydiving and anything that took him outside in nature.

David leaves behind his loving parents, Cathy Hulick of Ellwood City, David (Connie) Hulick of Eufaula, Oklahoma, his fiancé Maria Denton of North Carolina whom he loved with his whole heart, his beautiful children Leila, Leif, Luna and Wilderness of North Carolina, his sister, Jennifer (David) Zinkham of Ellwood City, two step-sisters, Kara Pettingill and Lacey Pettingill of Oklahoma, his nephews and nieces; Chance and Zoe Zinkham, of Ellwood City, Alyvia, Dax, Brodie and Hadlee of Oklahoma, Aunt and Uncle Mary Ann and James Cortez of Ellwood City, Uncle Mark Shaffer of Neshanock and numerous cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Ted and Madeline McKinney, his paternal grandparents George “Skip” and Elizabeth “Betty” Hulick and his aunt, Stephanie Shaffer.

Friends and family will be received on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 from 5:00PM to 8:00PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, March 7, 2024 at 10:00AM at Holy Redeemer Church. Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, a Go Fund Me account has been set up for Maria and their children. Memorial contributions can also be made in David’s name to any Veteran’s charity.
