Officers and members of Corona D’Italia Lodge #807 held their monthly meeting on Wednesday, April 13 at 5 p.m. at Pizza Joe’s.
The session began with the pizza luncheon hosted by President Clemmy Sirimarco and served by Sentinel Lois DiFrischia. Mistress of Ceremonies Mary Quintanilla voiced the invocation for the Easter season. Orator Valerie Valentino presented candy favors and decorated Easter baskets filled with candy and chips to each person in attendance.
The business session followed with financial reports presented by Treasurer Louise Vitullo. Sirimarco reported on the monthly fund raising and distributed tickets for April. Anyone wishing to participate may contact her. Valentino, scholarship chairman, and her committee of DiFrischia and Trustee Pudue LaCava, presented the report.
A $500 Corona Memorial Scholarship will be awarded to Cannon-McMillan Cannonsburg High School senior Jordan Dobbins, granddaughter of Sons of Italy Member Herman D’Amico. They will be hosted at the annual Corona D’Italia Mother-Daughter Scholarship Bowl.
Plans for the dinner were finalized for Wednesday, May 4 at 5 p.m. at the Wolverine Restaurant. Reservations are necessary and may be made by contacting Vitullo no later than April 28.
The session ended with social games conducted by Valentino aided by DiFrischia, Quintanilla, Mary Jane Folino and Rosetta Chontos.
