Father James Wehner, pastor of Divine Grace Parish Holy Redeemer Church in Ellwood City, installed seven Holy Name Society (HNS) officers to a two-year term at the 9:00 a.m. Mass on September 10th.
The officers installed included: Frank Aloi (President), Hank Glogowski (1st Vice President), Dave Manzo (2nd Vice President), Guy Calabro (3rd Vice President), Charles Santilo (Secretary), Lou Ferrario (Treasurer), Bob Crawford (Immediate past President).
The installation ceremony also included the induction of 16 new members, the renewal of the HNS promises of the 20 current members in attendance, and the appointment of Deacon Joseph Ross as the Holy Name Society’s Chaplain and Spiritual Director.
Father Wehner was proud to state that Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church has one of the largest and spiritually active Holy Name Societies in the Pittsburgh Dioceses.
Being a member of the Holy Name Society is an excellent way to become more involved in your Catholic faith through worship and fellowship. Meetings, include attendance at the 9:00 a.m. Mass, are held on the 2nd Sunday of the month from September thru June. All Divine Grace Parish’s practicing Catholic men are welcome to attend these meetings and consider joining the Holy Name Society.
I met with Frank Aloi at Holy Redeemer on 08/03 and he asked if I would like to be a member. After reading the history and purpose of the Holy Name Society, I would like to become a member.
