Margaret M. “Maggie” Tritt, 72

Margaret M. “Maggie” Tritt, 72, of North Sewickley Township passed away on Tuesday, May 9th, 2023 at the Good Samaritan Hospice House in Wexford.

Maggie was born on March 4th, 1951 in Philadelphia to the late John and Helen (Wilkinson) McLaughlin. She graduated from Riverside High School with the class of 1969 and also from Geneva College where she earned her Bachelor Degree in Science. She was a member of Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Maggie worked for Calgon from 1976 until 2000 as a quality assurance manager, at H.J. Heinz from 2002 until 2009 as a senior quality assurance technologist, and lastly, at Del Monte as a senior quality auditor from 2009 until her retirement in 2016. Throughout her career, Maggie was able to travel the world, seeing many countries and exploring their historical sights. She enjoyed reading, landscaping, traveling, especially on family beach vacations, and most of all, spending time with her children, grandchildren, and extended family.

She is survived by her children, Mary (Brian) Hudson of Ellwood City, Theresa (David) Mihalko of Ellwood City, and James (Beccy) Tritt of Melbourne, Australia, grandchildren Brian, Bridget, and Joseph Hudson, James, Stella, and Judd Tritt, and Logan and Elizabeth Mihalko, sisters, Ellen (Charles) Sykes, Theresa (John) Cramer, Mary McLaughlin, Cecelia Carter, Elizabeth McLaughlin, Suzanne (David) Lempka, Anne Downs, and Evelyn (Aaron) Ward, brothers, Charles (Kathy) McLaughlin, James McLaughlin and Joseph McLaughlin, and a large group of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, sister Kathryn Kershaw, and brothers John and Francis McLaughlin.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 15th from 4-7 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, May 16th at 10:00 am at Divine Grace Parish, St. Gregory Church in Zelienople. Interment will follow at Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

The family would like to extend a special thank-you to “Team Maggie”, Morgan and Jordan Halstead, Theresa Tillia, and Cheryl Mitter who provided 24 hour care in her home from April 2021 until present.
