Norma Jean Muntean

Norma Jean Muntean passed into the presence of her Lord and Savior on April 16, 2023. She was born Norma Jean Bango on September 19th, 1929.

Norma grew up in West Mayfield and Ellwood City.  She married Nick Muntean of Ellwood City on her birthday in 1948.  Her parents were Anna (Mitchell) and Ralph Ferrante.  She was a member of Park Alliance Church in Ellwood City.

Norma is survived by a son, Edward Muntean (Darlene) of Economy Borough; two daughters, Karen Alborn of Conway and Kathleen (David) Allison of Ellwood City; six grandchildren, Michelle Alborn, Amy Mauk (Jeremy), Mandy Kondik (David), Alecia Allison, Jonathan Allison (Shanna), Jessica Allison (Mike Janectic), and eight great grandchildren, Edison, Maxwell, Jordan, Allison, Alexandra, Ashton, Connor and Christian.

She was preceded in death by her husband Nick in 2004, and brothers John Bango, Robert Bango, Ralph Ferrante and half-brother, Robert Bango.

Norma dearly loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and enjoyed sharing His Word with others.  A volunteer for many years with the Salvation Army, Norma was very generous and giving.  She loved to build jigsaw puzzles and crossword puzzles but most of all, Norma cherished and adored her family.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Cambridge Village and Promedica Hospice staff for their compassionate care.

Friends will be received on Friday, April 21st from 3:00 PM until the time of the service at 6:00 PM with Pastor Fredrick M. Chapin at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport, PA.

Family suggests memorial contributions can be made in Norma’s name to either of the following organizations:
