Vincent J. Bellissimo III, 74

Mr. Vincent J. Bellissimo III, 74, of Ellwood City went to be with his Lord on Tuesday, April 4th, 2023 after a lengthy illness.

Vince was born in Ellwood City on July 22nd, 1948 to the late Vincent J. and Lillian F. (Pezzi) Bellissimo. He is a member of the Lincoln High School class of 1967, and Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Vince enlisted with the United States Army on April 24th 1968 and served with the Fourth U.S. Army until his discharge on April 23rd, 1971 with the rank of Sergeant. He was awarded the National Defense Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with 3 Bronze Service Stars, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, and Vietnamese Cross of Gallantry with Palm Marksman.

Vince centered his world around his family. He especially loved spending time with his beloved grandchildren and attending their various sports events. Vince loved the simple things in life, you could catch him sitting on the porch all hours of the day or night interacting with his neighbors. For the past 20 years Vince worked as a car salesman, most recently employed at Diehl Automotive in Grove City.

He is survived by his wife Patricia “Tisha” (Manzo) Bellissimo whom he married on May 3rd, 1968, daughter Stacy (David) Hamilton of Ellwood City, grandchildren Makenna and Kailyn Hamilton, and sisters Marsha Hall of Ellwood City and Janet (John) Smith of Hopewell. Vince also leaves behind his sister-in-law and brother-in-law Tona and Floyd McElwain of Ellwood City, and many aunts, nieces, and nephews.

Vince was preceded in death by his parents, and his mother and father in law Pat and Sue Manzo.

Vince’s family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. David Shober, Dr. Nimish Niak and medical staff at DCI in Chippewa, and Dr. John Ufer and medical staff at the VA Community Care Center in Butler.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 10th from 4-7 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 11th at Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church at 10:00 am. Entombment will be at Holy Redeemer Cemetery, Holy Redeemer Mausoleum. Members of the Veterans Honor Guard are asked to meet at the church on Tuesday by 10:50 am to conduct full military honors.

Memorial contributions in Vince’s name may be made to: Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church Social Services food bank, or to: Club Hope in Ellwood City.
