Mrs. Theresia Manz, 91, of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, March 7th, 2023 at the UPMC Passavant Hospital in McCandless Twp.
Mrs. Manz was born in Apatin, Yugoslavia on April 25th, 1931 to the late Anton and Maria (Berli) Miller. She had graduated from high school in Yugoslavia. Theresia and her family moved to the United States in 1957 and settled in Ellwood City. For many years she worked at the Ellwood City Knitting Mill until it closed. She is a member of the Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church. Theresia, along with her husband Stephan, was also a member of the Apollo Singing Society in Sharon, PA. She was an avid baker, canner, and gardener, and loved spending time with her family.
She is survived by her son Stefan (Darla) Manz of Allison Park, grandchild Austin Manz (Carly O’Brien), step-grandson James White, and great-grandchildren, John, Ali, Kaylee, Lauren, Nicholas, Jacob, and Rachel.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 70 years Stephan Manz whom she married on August 12th, 1950 and passed away on October 29th, 2020, and daughter Maria Manz in infancy.
Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at Divine Grace Parish, Holy Redeemer Church at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
