Amelia “Amy” Oravitz, 61, of Schill Manor in Ellwood City, formerly of Monaca, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 3:25 p.m. in UPMC Mercy Hospital.
Born in Ellwood City on Sept. 7, 1954, Amy was the daughter of the late Nick and Janice Barber Butchelle. Amy was a member of Holy Redeemer Parish and former member of St. John the Baptist Church in Monaca. A 1972 graduate of Lincoln High School, Amy enjoyed playing bingo but mostly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.
Amy is survived by three children, Jeff and Jamie Oravitz of Pittsburgh, Michelle and Steve Zeppelin if Volant and David Oravitz of Monaca, six grandchildren, Bailey and Halen Oravitz, Brooke, Grace, Kendall and Claire Zeppelin, her step-mother, Georgia Powell of Chewton, a brother, Nick Butchelle of New Castle and seven sisters, Dixie Workman of Ellwood City, Nickolette Simmons of Chewton, Camelia Stelter, Jan Bober, Deb Mohr, Paris Butchelle and Gina Schaas all of Wampum.

Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport on Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A Blessing Service will be offered at the Funeral Home on Wednesday at 8 p.m. by Fr.
