Burger King Employee Steals $150 by Writing Two Bank Deposits
- A Beaver Falls woman was accused of stealing $150 from Burger King on Lawrence Avenue. According to the criminal complaint filed on March 7, Christy Marie Landles, 24, stole the money as an employee while making a night deposit to PNC bank. Burger King cameras from Feb. 16 show Landles preparing a deposit of $764.15 but PNC records show a deposit of $614.15. By using PNC records and watching further store film, it was discovered that Landles had placed the original deposit bag in a safe for two hours, removed it, and used a second deposit form and deposit bag for the actual deposit. When questioned, Landles didn’t confess. She was charged with theft by unlawful taking.
DUI Accident
- According to the criminal complaint, officers were were dispatched to Lawrence Avenue and 12th Street for an accident on March 6 at approximately 2 a.m. A vehicle traveling east had struck two legally parked cars. the driver, Jennifer Sue Graham, 34, of Ellwood City, appeared intoxicated and was taken to the Ellwood City Hospital for a BAC. She was charged with a DUI and careless driving.
DUI Rear Ended in Drive-Thru
- According to the criminal complaint, on Feb. 28 at approximately 12:30 a.m., a vehicle rear ended another in the McDonald’s drive-thru. The driver, Erin Michelle Warner, 33, of Ellwood City appeared intoxicated and was taken to the Ellwood City Hospital for a BAC. She was charged with a DUI and careless driving.
DUI
- According to the criminal complaint, on March 6 at approximately 2 a.m., officers observed a car tailgating on Route 488 in Perry Township. The driver, Ronald Harrison Miller, 52, of Fombell, appeared intoxicated and was taken to the Ellwood City Hospital for a BAC. He was charged with two counts of DUI, careless driving, approaching a vehicle from the rear, not wearing a seat belt and following too closely.
DUI One-Vehicle Collision
- According to the criminal complaint, sometime after midnight on March5, an officer was dispatched to a one vehicle collision on Route 488 and Pleasant Hill Road in Perry Township. The red Ford dump truck had sustained severe damage. The driver, William Joseph Taylor, appeared intoxicated and didn’t know if he was leaving or going to his girlfriend’s house. He was transported to the Ellwood City Hospital to be treatment for his injuries and given a BAC. He was charged with a DUI, driving with an expired license, driving while privilege was suspended, failing to drive at a safe speed, careless driving and failing to wear a seat belt.
