Harassment
- An Ellwood City juvenile male was accused of repeatedly harassing Family Video employees. According to the criminal complaint, on Feb. 22 around 6 p.m., officers received a call from Family Video employees. Employees reported that a 13-year old juvenile male had been told to keep off of Family Video property, as he isn’t allowed in the store without an adult accompanying. The juvenile had been taking pictures of employees through the windows with his cell phone, tapping on the windows and prank calling the store. Employees informed officers they would like to file charges as this had been going on for a while. Officers informed the child’s mother of the situation and that the juvenile would be receiving his citations in the mail. He was charged with harassment and trespassing.
Intoxicated Man Urinates on Building
- An Ohio man was accused of disorderly conduct following an incident on Nov. 10 at D&J Grocery on 1389 Route 551 in Little Beaver Township. According to the criminal complaint filed with Magistrate Jerry Cartwright on Feb. 17, police answered a report of an intoxicated man at D&J. Officers made contact with the defendant, Joseph Bryan Black, 38, of New Middleton, Ohio, once they entered the store. He was described by the police as having his speech slurred, his actions very slow and having an extreme alcoholic odor coming from him. One employee said that the defendant pulled up to the pumps with the gas door on the wrong side and had difficulty getting out of his vehicle. He then entered the store where he paid $5 for gas and went outside where he was going to put diesel into his tank but one patron stopped him from doing so. Other witnesses stated that Black was highly intoxicated and saw him urinate on the building. He was taken to the hospital for a blood test. He was charged with Public Drunkenness, Disorderly Conduct, and two counts of DUI.
