Dorothy F. Crowley, 96

Dorothy F. Crowley, 96, of Ellwood City, passed away on Monday June 14, 2021 at Good Samaritan Hospice in Brighton Township.

Born in Zelienople on January 2, 1925, Dorothy was the daughter of the late August and Virginia Langhans Fleckenstein.  She married John D. Crowley on May 15, 1954 and he preceded her in death on July 28, 1981.  Dorothy was a 1943 graduate of Zelienople High School.  A member of Holy Redeemer Parish, Dorothy was a charter member of St. Agatha Christian Mothers and a Eucharistic minister.  She was a member of the Ellwood City Hospital Auxiliary, and a volunteer for Meals on Wheels.  Dorothy absolutely loved her two great-granddaughters and she looked forward to their time together.

Dorothy is survived by her son-in-law, Tony Celli, her granddaughter Claire (Jonathan) Fauzey, two great-granddaughters, Maura & Ella Fauzey, all of Ellwood City, and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband, Dorothy was preceded by her daughter, Mary Ann Celli, 2 sisters, Ruth and Helen and two brothers, Bernard & Paul.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 16th from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 17th at 10:00 AM at Holy Redeemer Church with Fr. Mark L. Thomas.  Interment will follow in Holy Redeemer Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made in Dorothy’s name to the Holy Redeemer Angel Fund, 415 4th St., Ellwood City, PA  16117.

    My Special MEMORY OF HER WAS AT JOHNNY’s PIZZA.
    MY MOTHER & I WERE THERE EATING DINNER.
    DOROTHY & MARY ANN WERE TOGETHER EATING THEIR DINNER.
    WE SAW EACH OTHER AND SPENT THE REST OF OUR TIME, AT JOHNNY’s PIZZA TOGETHER TALKING & SHARING MEMORIES.
