Patsy Natale Izzo “Neizer,” 90

Mr. Patsy Natale Izzo “Neizer,” 90, of Ellwood City passed peacefully following a battle to COVID-19 and Pneumonia on December 9, 2020 at Jameson Hospital in New Castle, PA.

Patsy was born on August 26, 1930 to the late Frank and Angeline (Prestopine) Izzo. Patsy was a Roman Catholic. Patsy graduated from Lincoln High School in 1948. He was President of the Optimist Club and he coached baseball in the Pony League as well as coaching and playing softball for many years. He worked as a Supervisor at Babcock & Wilcox (Eastworks) for 35 years and retired in 1988. He was a lifetime member of the Ellwood City Moose Lodge, Hungarian Home, Turner Club in Rochester. Patsy in his spare time most enjoyed his long walks all through Ellwood waving to all who crossed his path, hosting family for the Holidays especially Christmas, he had an extraordinary green thumb and loved his gardening, playing cards, darts, bowling, watching his Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates as well as bird watching and whistling.

He married the love of his life on July 3, 1967 and is preceded in death by his loving wife Betty Lou Izzo. He was also preceded in death by his son Larry Izzo and his four siblings: Rose Bartolomeo, Dolly Baxter, Michael Izzo and Fred Izzo.

He is survived by his children, Robin Lordi (Rich) of Pittsburgh, PA, Jerry (Carolyn) Izzo of North Sewickley Twp., and Patricia Dombeck of Ellwood City, and his daughter-in-law, Beth Izzo of Ellwood City, his 11 grandchildren, Jennifer (Bill) Fry, Jared Izzo, Jessica (Mark) Bucci, Danielle Lordi, Lindsey (Jason) Cyprowski, Jocelyn Dombeck (Paul), Johnny Dombeck (Tieraney), Austin Dombeck, Michelle Izzo (David), Mellodie (Shaun) Kaszowski, and Dylan Weingartner, and his 10 great-grandchildren, Landon Dombeck, Bill Fry, Matthew Fry, Ryan Fry, Anthony Bucci, Garrett Bucci, Hunter Prenatt, Damien Prenatt, Lily Kaszowski, Livia Kaszowski.

A family visitation and Blessing Service will be held on Monday at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc. with Father Philip Farrell officiating. Inurnment will be at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
