A musical is only as good as its cast. The cast of Riverside’s High School’s production of “How to Succeed in Business Without Even Trying” are excited to hit the stage running and give all audience members a good show.

Maggie Hardin
Part in Musical: Rosemary Pilkington
Current Grade: 12
Been in musicals/plays since: 8th grade
Previous leads/musicals you’ve been in: Gangster- Drowsy Chaperone
Teen Fiona- Shrek
Melissa Frake- State Fair
Will you be singing: yes
Favorite Song: Happy to Keep His Dinner Warm
What interested you in this role: I love the songs that Rosemary sings and her personality. She’s very sarcastic and sassy but her love for Finch shows her sweet side.
What is an iconic prop in the musical or favorite part of your costume: Rosemary’s iconic pink dress
What’s the hardest part about your role: remembering my lines
Has your character taught you anything “life changing” or that will stay with you after the show: Having such a big role has taught me that it doesn’t come easy and I didn’t think I would be able to memorize all the lines well enough but when you put the time in and work hard it will come.
What do you think the audience will like about the musical: The unique story line and the jokes that’s aren’t as obvious but are so funny when picked up.
What is unique about this musical: How many male characters are in this show and how funny all of their roles are.
What other activities are you involved in: I’m involved in soccer, softball and chamber choir.
Future plans: I plan to attend Gannon University in their 5 year physicians assistant program. I would love to continue theatre in college and possibly choir as well.

Been in musicals/plays since: I did musical in 9th grade and took a break and now I’m back!

Will you be singing: yes!
Favorite Song: I believe in you
What interested you in this role: I love how ambitious young Finch is throughout the show.
What is an iconic prop in the musical or favorite part of your costume: The book I’m reading throughout the whole musical titled, “How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying.”
What’s the hardest part about your role: All of the lines!!
Has your character taught you anything “life changing” or that will stay with you after the show: Yes, once again, how ambitious and persevered he is to rise to the top of the business world.
What do you think the audience will like about the musical: I think the audience will enjoy the humor in the show.
What is unique about this musical: “I believe in you” is a song I sing to myself about how amazing I am and how much I love myself, and you don’t see that in musicals these days as much.
What other activities are you involved in: I am involved in track and field and soccer.
Future plans: My future plans include attending the University of Pittsburgh to become a lawyer.

Previous leads/musicals you’ve been in: I have been in 7 musicals, including The Wizard of Oz, Annie, Anything Goes, Suessical, The Drowzy Chaperone, State Fair, and now How To Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.
Will you be singing: Yes along with ensemble.
Favorite Song: A Secretary Is Not A Toy
What interested you in this role: I danced for many years when I was younger and I love to dance.
What is an iconic prop in the musical or favorite part of your costume: A poke a dot hat
What’s the hardest part about your role: Remembering all of the dancing because there’s a lot
Has your character taught you anything “life changing” or that will stay with you after the show: Just being involved in the musicals for 7 years will stay with me forever. I’ll always remember the time and effort put into each one.
What do you think the audience will like about the musical: It’s a great comedy, there are very funny scenes!
What is unique about this musical: Our school’s musical will be able to amaze the audience even though most people have never heard of this show.
What other activities are you involved in: Softball and Cheering
Future plans: Attend Penn State for Accounting and Finance
