Mrs. Zita (Cupac) Pesano, 96

Mrs. Zita (Cupac) Pesano, 96, of Ellwood City passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at her residence.

Mrs. Pesano was born on October 26, 1922 in Ellwood City to the late John J. and Teressa (Sebecic) Cupac. She is a member of the Holy Redeemer Church, and the Lincoln High School class of 1940. She had worked as a waitress at Mike Isabella’s restaurant in New Castle, and Pee Wee’s Hot Dog Shop in Ellwood City. Zita also worked at Beverly’s Antique Shop in Ellwood City as a clerk. She enjoyed assisting with weddings at the Holy Redeemer Church, and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews, Joyce Gordon, Janice Cable, Patty Penson, Sander Cupac, Marlane Boots, Corine Rutter Borselli, Joe Ridjaneck, George Ridjaneck, Thomas Cupac, and Garth Cupac, and many great nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Samuel Pesano whom she married on May 3, 1947 and passed away on August 6, 1996, her sisters, Barbara Hief, Lois Hoodnick, Anna Draganza, and Lillian Ridjaneck, and her brothers, Nick Cupac, and Joseph Cupac.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 5-8 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home and Crematory Inc.. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday at the Holy Redeemer Church at 10:00 am with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
