Paul E. Durbin, Sr., 78

Paul E. Durbin, 78 of Chewton passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2019 in the Heritage Valley Hospital in Brighton Twp.

Born in Ellwood City on July 1, 1940, Paul was the son of the late Lillian Durbin Wisbith.  Paul worked as a shipper for B&W in West Mayfield and later for TMK Ipsco (Koppel Steel) Ambridge until his retirement in 2017.  Paul was an avid bowler, Steeler Fan and enjoyed watching Family Feud.

Loving husband of Terri Jeffries Durbin whom he married on August 28, 1993.  Beloved father to his 4 children, Beth Durbin Westcott of Pittsburgh, Paul (Lisa) Durbin and Richard (Shannon) Durbin both of Ellwood City and Ronald (Karen) Durbin of Arvada, CO and 2 stepchildren, Melissa Smith Crepp (Dave Schilling) of Ellwood City and Bryan (Joni) Smith of Minerva, OH.  Adored “Pap-pap Paul and Grandpa” to his 17 grandchildren, Andrew (Joni) Durbin, Ellwood City, Ashley Westcott Cmar, Latrobe, Robert (Megan) Durbin, Beaver Falls, Joseph Robert Westcott, Pittsburgh, Stephanie Durbin, Ellwood City, Royce and Keats Durbin, Arvada, CO and Derick, Millie and Kylah McQuiston, Frank Rossi, Devin Crepp and Cassidy Crepp all of Ellwood City , Elycia, Noah, Allison and Elkanah Smith all of Minerva, OH and his 6 great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Rylee Durbin, Ellwood City, Deanna and Maximus Cmar, Latrobe, Dexter and Jameson Durbin, Beaver Falls.  He is also survived by his brother, Fred (Virginia) Durbin of Edinburg, PA.

He was preceded in death by his mother in 1972 and his stepfather, Robert Wisbith in 1989, a stepson, Christopher Smith in 1991 and great grandchild, Gabriel Michael Durbin in 2014.

Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 2 PM to 4 PM and from 6 PM to 8 PM.  A Prayer Service will follow visitation at 8 PM on Tuesday.  Private interment will be at Locust Grove Cemetery.

His family would like to thank his neighbors, Bill and Beckie Shirey and Rita Woloszyn for all of their help.

    oh Paul .. I’m so sorry to have just now learned this brother … forever will I remember being your shipping helper , all the nite turn talks, the time you sandbagged me in me bowling lol.. and the time I hid your coffee cup at work and you worked us like a dog until we coughed it up.. one of my fave memories working there were people. like you . rest in power brother (I won’t say peace because I know you’re yakking away with my pops and who can peace with you two chewing it up).
