Ellen Pesce, 82

Mrs. Ellen Pesce, 82, of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, September 23, 2018 at her residence with her loving family at her bedside. Ellen was born on April 24, 1936 in Ellwood City to the late Angelo and Frances (DeMauro) DeCarbo. Ellen was married on August 6, 1955 to Benjamin D. Pesce, Jr., her high school sweetheart. She had worked at Theresa’s Bakery and Kimmel’s Bakery, both in Ellwood City. Ellen’s greatest enjoyment was sharing her love of cooking and baking with her children, grandchildren and neighbors. She enjoyed crocheting and loved gifting her handmade items to family and friends. Her love of her family was her greatest gift.

Mrs. Pesce is survived by her daughter, Shari Pesce of Ellwood City, her son, Angelo Pesce of Chewton, her grandchildren, Christopher (Janet) Pesce, AJ (Dave) Braden, Julia Pesce, Cody (Brittany) Pesce, Nicholas Pesce, and Benjamin Maceo Pesce, and her great-grandchildren, Austin and Naomi Braden, and Skyelar Morrison. She is also survived by her sister, Louise Masung of Franklin Twp., her brother, Anthony J. “Lefty” (JoAnn) Decarbo of Ellwood City, and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her son Benjamin A. Pesce, and her brother, Pete DeCarbo.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 pm until the time of the Blessing Service at 6:00 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Interment will be at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
