Mrs. Jean Neve, 97, of North Sewickley Twp. passed away on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at the St. John Specialty Care.
Mrs. Neve was born on December 18, 1920 in Wampum to the late Michael and Antonette (Celetti) Altobello. She had worked for a fireworks company in New Castle, the WPA (Works Progress Administration, and the Ellwood City Knitting Mill. She also worked for Mary Kocevar at the Elton Hotel and her catering business. Jene is also a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish. She enjoyed cooking and playing bingo.
Mrs. Neve is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janet (Thomas) Wolford of North Sewickley Twp., and her granddaughter, Gretchen Wolford also of North Sewickley Twp..
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Wally John Neve whom she married on November 1, 1945 and passed away on June 26, 1974, her step-mother, Mary (Richards) Altobello, her sisters, Angeline Fernandez, Louise Adams, Josephine Sabrizi, and Florence DeFonso, and her brothers, Paul and Chris Altobello.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 am at the Holy Redeemer Church with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
