Mrs. Dolores L. McMichael, 86, of Franklin Twp. passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018 at her residence.
Mrs. McMichael was born on April 6, 1931 in Ellwood City to the late Joseph and Ida (Cagni) Lance. She had graduated from Lincoln High School with the class of 1949. For several years, Dolores worked at the Ellwood Glass Company, and the Dust Proof Mattress Factory. She is a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish, and was a CCD Teacher for the former Purification BVM Church. She enjoyed bowling with the Wednesday morning early birds, and was a wonderful cook, baker, and flower gardener.
Mrs. McMichael is survived by her husband of 66 years Donald McMichael, her daughters, Carol (Mark) Musser of South Beaver Twp., Donna (William) Herrick of Houston, TX, and Laura McMichael of Franklin Twp., her grandchildren, Matt (Alexandra) Musser, Luke (Ashley) Musser, Kelly (Christopher) Sims, Brian Herrick, and Daniel Herrick, and her great grandchildren, Ava, Zakary, Hayley, and Maria Musser, and Athena Sims. She is also survived by her sister, Katherine “Kitty” McCarthy of Moon Twp., her brother, Ray (Peggy) Lance of Ellwood City, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Geraldine Calve, and her brother, Lawrence Lance.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services.
A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 am at the Holy Redeemer Church with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery. Those attending the funeral mass are asked to meet at the funeral home on Wednesday by 9:20 am.
