Frederick J. Suhre, 79, of Perry Township, passed away at his residence on Thursday, March 8, 2018.
Born in Youngstown, Ohio on October 7, 1938, Fred was the son of the late Frederick and Mary Pahurich Suhre. He retired in 2001 as a field service engineer from Techint. Fred was a veteran of the US Army and served for 30 years in the Ohio National Guard 838th Military Police Company. A member of the Ellwood City Saxon Club, Fred liked to tinker with antique cars and with his motorcycle. He enjoyed traveling the world, dining out and being social.
Fred is survived by his son, Fred W. Suhre of Ellwood City, his daughter and son-in-law, Teri Suhre and Chris Harlacher of Pittsburgh and granddogs, Dart and Gunnar.
In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his wife, Sandra Kay Douce Suhre and his daughter-in-law, Debra Suhre.
Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport.
