John E. Dengel, 74

Mr. John E. Dengel, 74, of Ellwood City passed away on Sunday, March 4, 2018 in The Grove at Harmony.

Mr. Dengel was born on November 5, 1943 in Monaca to the late Michael and Elizabeth Chambers Dengel. John is a member of the Riverside High School class of 1963. He had worked at Matthews Conveyor, the Babcock & Wilcox Steel Mill, Young’s Excavating, and most recently with the Franklin Twp. road crew. He was also a member of the Sons of Italy, the Saxons Club, and the Hungarian Home. John enjoyed being at his camp in Kennerdell, fishing and hunting.

Mr. Dengel is survived by his wife Connie Peppel Dengel whom he married on October 18, 1999. his daughter, Kelly (Brian) McClean of Ellwood City, his step-daughters, Shari (David) Piccolo of Monaca and Dawn (Michael) Bauman of Ellwood City, his son, John (Dawn) Dengel of Ellwood City, and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Kathy (James) Crespo of Wayne Twp., and his brothers, Larry Dengel of Ellwood City and Michael (Carol) Dengel of Fombell.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 pm until the time of the service at 6:00 pm with Rev. Ray Madina officiating at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services.
