David Michael Lordi, 63, of Williamsport, formerly of Ellwood City, fell asleep in the Lord on Sunday, September 3, 2017 following a lengthy illness.
Born in Ellwood City on January 30, 1954, David was the son of the late Angelo and Helen Giacobbi Lordi. After graduating from Lincoln High School in 1972, David went on to earn his B.S. in Biology from Geneva College in 1976. David married the love of his life, Elizabeth Loccisano Lordi on September 27, 1980. After more than 30 years of service, David retired from his job as a customer service manager at Penna Flame Industries in 2010. David was a member of St. Elias Orthodox Church in Ellwood City and later Holy Cross Orthodox Church in Williamsport and enjoyed furthering his Orthodox faith through extensive reading. He also enjoyed watching Oscar-winning movies, telling ghost stories to his daughters during afternoon hikes, eating good food (especially getting hot dogs with his brothers) and having lively political discussions. Above all, David treasured his time with his family.
David is survived by his wife Elizabeth Loccisano Lordi at home, his two daughters, Lara (Glen) Rectenwald of New York City, Erica (Dan) Thetford of Williamsport, his two grandchildren, Nina and Julian, two brothers, Patrick (Susan) Lordi of Denver, CO and Daniel Lordi of Bedford, TX.
Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Ave., Ellport on Friday, September 8, 2017 from 4:00 to 7:00 PM where a Prayer Service will be offer by Fr. John Schmidt at 7 PM. Friends may also call at St. Elias Orthodox Church, Cherry Way, Ellwood City on Saturday from 10 AM until the time of the Funeral Service at 11 AM.
Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery.
