Mrs. Pauline Christie, 105, formerly of Ellport passed away on Friday, July 21, 2017 at Katera’s Kove.
Mrs. Christie was born on March 30, 1912 in Wampum to the late Frank and Rose Pastin Wilson. She had graduated from the New Castle Business School and the Beaver Falls School of Beauty. Pauline was the owner and operator of Pauline Christie’s Beauty Shop in Ellport for many years. She enjoyed playing the organ and piano to the delight of many people. For many years she was member of the First United Methodist Church. She also was a member and past president of the Eagles Club, the V.F.W. Post 252 ladies auxiliary, Ladies of the MOOSE, Beaver Falls Elks, the Saxons Club, and the Hungarian Club.
She is survived by her step-daughter, Kathy (Eugene) Soriano of Cranberry Twp., her step-son, David P. (Cindy) Christie of North Port, FL, her step-grandchildren, Nathan (Beth) Soriano and Kristina (Sam) Jacobs, her 4 step-great-grandchildren, her niece, Donna (Don) Boots of North Sewickley Twp., and her great nephew, Jim (Penny) Arkett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband Earl Flesher, her second husband Walter Piper, her third husband Paul F. Christie, her daughter Donna Jean Flesher in infancy, her sisters Theresa Arkett and Mary Shira, and her brothers Joseph and John Wilson.
A private service for Pauline will be held for the family on Tuesday at the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services with Rev. Angelic Bradford officiating. Inurnment will be at the Locust Grove Cemetery.
Memorial contributions in Pauline’s name may be made to the Ellwood City Area Public Library or to the charity of the donors choosing.
