John Addison McConahy, Jr., 60 of Beaver passed away at Good Samaritan Hospice on Thursday, February 16, 2017 with his family by his side.
Born in Ellwood City on July 12, 1956, John was the son of Opal Nye McConahy of Ellwood City and the late John Addison McConahy. John is survived by his loving wife, Valerie Carsele McConahy. John owned Pore Boys Auto Body in Beaver for 25 years. He was a member of the Midland Sportsmen Club, an avid sportsman, he loved hunting, fishing and racing especially his Yenko Chevelle. John was a 1974 graduate of Lawrence Co. Votech.
Besides his wife, John is survived by a son and daughter, John Addison McConahy, III of Beaver and Michelle and Bill Hiler of Chippewa, a sister, Bonnie McConahy of Ellwood City, two grandchildren, Adam and Olivia, in-laws, Randall and Fran Boariu, Greg and Noreen LaCava and Rocky and Lisa Carsele, all of Ellwood City. John is also survived by many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He will also be missed by his beloved dog Hunter.
John was preceded in death by his father and grandparents.
Friends may call at the Joseph A. Tomon, Jr. Funeral Home and Crematory, 97 Grim Avenue, Ellport on Saturday, February 18, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
