Marianne Jubach, 94, of Ellwood City passed away on Friday, Nov. 13, 2015 in the Northview Estates.
Jubach was born on Jan. 2, 1921 in Munich, Germany to the late Sabastian and Maria Kohler Winterer, Sr. She had graduated from high school and business school in Europe. Marianne worked at the Ellwood City Area Public Library as an aide for 13 years. She is a member of the Holy Redeemer Parish and the Christian Mothers of the parish. She also is a member of the Ellwood City Woman’s Club, the Golden Agers and the Opti-Mrs. Club. She enjoyed playing cards and mostly being with her family and friends.
Jubach is survived by her two daughters, Chris (Mark) McDevitt of Perry Twp., and Cindy (Kevin) O’Neil of Oviedo, Fla., her son, Robert W. (Marcy) Jubach of San Marcos, Calif., and her daughter-in-law, Janice Jubach of Chippewa Twp. She is also survived by her 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Robert L. Jubach whom she married on June 28, 1947 and passed away on Nov. 11, 1968, her son, Dr. Thomas S. Jubach DMD on October 6, 2012, and her two brothers, Sabastian Winterer, Jr. and Peter Ludwic Winterer who where both killed in action during World War II in Russia.
Visitation will be held on Monday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Holy Redeemer Church with Father Mark Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at the Holy Redeemer Cemetery.
Those attending the funeral mass are asked to meet at the funeral home on Tuesday by 9:20 a.m. Members of the Holy Redeemer Christian Mothers are asked to meet at the church on Tuesday by 9:50 a.m. to form an honor guard. Memorial contributions in Jubach’s name may be made to the Holy Redeemer Angel Fund, or to the Ellwood City Area Public Library.
