Community College of Beaver County Offers Course Scheduling to Fit All Lifestyles with Flexible Start Program

Registration Now Underway for Evening and Weekend Classes in Spring Semester

(Monaca, PA)Community College of Beaver County (CCBC) has unveiled a full roster of classes to address the needs of students who are unable to attend class during the day or a later start to the spring semester. These classes are ideal for working students who need flexible schedules, high school juniors and seniors seeking concurrent enrollment that won’t conflict with traditional high school classes, and those who seek the convenience of attending class through online courses.

“The Flexible Start program was designed with a focus on the working adult, who wants to pursue a college degree, or who has some college credits and wants to complete a degree. This program allows these students to fit their college courses into the rest of their busy lives with a variety of options, inlcuding Saturday classes, evening classes, and online learning,” said CCBC President Dr. Chris Reber.

The U.S. Census reports that 22.8% of adults in Beaver County hold a bachelors degree or higher, compared to a national statistic of 33% or one in three Americans who have completed degrees. “We know we can change that number. CCBC is poised to provide a strong learning environment, robust curricula and thriving educational experiences that aide adults in reaching their dreams,” said Dr. Roger Davis, executive vice president and provost.

“CCBC offers a broad curriculum to assist adults in achieving their educational and career goals,” noted Dr. Davis. “CCBC is the type of institution that is small enough to care about every student and big enough to provide a quality education.”

The subjects are varied and broad and include classes in College Writing, Mathematics, Psychology, Sociology, Information Technology, Human Anatomy & Physiology, and many more.

Online students can choose from more than 250 non-credit courses including Technology, Business, Construction and Trades, and many other areas of study. For more information about how to enroll for these classes, please visit http://careertraining.ed2go.com/ccbc, or call 724-480-3451.

Students can register through January 30, 2017 for classes in 12-week sessions that get underway on January 31. Classes begin on February 18, 2017 for the 10-week session and registration for those will continue through February 13, 2017.
