Mrs. Betty Lou Sapp, 87, formerly of Ellwood City passed away on Tuesday, December 20, 2016 in the Golden Hills Nursing Home.
Mrs. Sapp was born on June 30, 1929 in Fairmont, West Virginia to the late Earl and Elsie Compston Markley. She had worked at Airway Luggage, Morini’s Market in Koppel, and Sims Bowling Alley. Betty had also belonged to the Valley Baptist Church. She is a former member of the V.F.W., Saxons Club, and American Legion. She enjoyed working puzzles, reading, playing bingo, and gardening.
Mrs. Sapp is survived by her daughters, Darlene Wisbith, Donna (Larry) Cole both of Perry Twp., Deborah (John) Squicquero of Ellwood City, and Denise Sheets of Hookstown, her son, Jack (Kathy) Sapp of Wayne Twp., her 13 grandchildren, Carrie and Jason Wisbith, Kristine Nulff, Christopher Sapp, Crystal Bastain, Cori Champion, Diana and Michael Tillia, Dale and Derick Squicquero, Amanda and Donn Sheets, and Eric Squicquero, and her 24 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild. She is also survived by her sister, Martha Lehr of Baltimore, MD. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Fred H. Sapp whom she married on December 20, 1945 and passed away on April 5, 2001, her son, Fred H. Sapp, Jr. in 1953, and her 4 brothers.
Visitation will be held on Thursday from 3:00 pm until the time of the Service at 6:00 pm in the Samuel Teolis Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremation Services. Interment will be at the Grandview Cemetery in Beaver Falls.
